Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a huge issue among high school and college level courses and has resulted in some extreme repercussions. In class, we will go into great detail about what constitutes plagiarism and how it can be avoided. Please read the following article posted in the Daily Press regarding an unfortunate incident of plagiarism at The University of Virginia.

Welcome Back!

Oh! How unfortunate it is that summer seems to fly by when we wish it would linger. The days of lying by the pool, book in hand, music softly playing in the background have left us all too soon. Yet, these lazy days are being replaced by an adventure equally exciting...10th Grade!!!

In an effort to hold on to those fabulous summer days a tad bit longer, let's share some of the novels we read over the summer. Provide us with title, author, a brief summary, and if you would recommend it to someone else.

I'll go first! I hate to admit that I am completely behind the times and only this summer actually read Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom, an ESPN sportswriter. This was probably one of the most touching novels I have read in a long time, if not ever. I think I cried in the first chapter. The story is a recollection of Albom's former professor who has found out he is dying from ALS and makes the decision to LIVE the remainder of his life and not simply DIE. The book recalls many lessons that Albom learned from Morrie and he passes those lessons on to us as the readers. Great book!!! Everyone should read it!

TaTa!!
